We are accepting new patients!

Looking for a great pediatrician?  At Dr. Kimura and Dr. Sato’s office, you get two!  As board-certified pediatricians, we enjoy working with parents to keep children healthy through regular well visits, maintaining current immunizations, and promoting a healthy lifestyle through proper nutrition and physical activity.  If your child is ill and needs a same-day appointment, our friendly and helpful staff will help you schedule one.  We believe communication is essential to a good doctor-patient relationship so we make every effort to listen to parents’ concerns, encourage you to ask questions, and provide the most recent medical information so you can make informed decisions about your child’s health.  Whether your child is a newborn, teen, or somewhere in between, we utilize the latest health recommendations with over 30 years combined pediatric experience to help you keep your child healthy.  Call our office for more information or stop by and see why so many of our patients recommend us to others.  We look forward to meeting you!

Dr. Sato and Dr. Kimura see patients from birth to 18 years old, at which time we will recommend transitioning to an internal medicine or family practice physician.  However, we accept NEW patients younger than 16 years old into our practice.

Schedule an appointment

Dr. Sato and Dr. Kimura look forward to having you join our family of satisfied patients. To schedule an appointment, please call our office at (916) 421-8245. (Sorry, we are unable to accommodate walk-in visits at this time.)  If your child has a life-threatening matter, please call 911 for help.  Same-day appointments are available for ill children.  We schedule well visits separately at the beginning of the morning and the afternoon to minimize the exposure of well children to sick children.   Please remember that payment (including all co-pay amounts) is due at the time of your visit.

New Patients Needing a Well Visit:  In order to give your child the best care possible, it is important for us to review the details of any medical care your child has received as well as any past health issues.  Because of this, we require parents to either complete a past medical questionnaire and/or obtain copies of their child’s previous medical records including immunizations from all former physicians and bring them (or have them mailed) to our office prior to scheduling the first well child exam (physical) with us.  Once the doctors review your child’s questionnaire and/or past medical records (this is done in a timely fashion once they are received), we will be happy to schedule a well exam appointment for your child.  We are happy to see your child for ill visits while awaiting medical records.

New Patient Forms

Before coming to your first appointment, you can save time by downloading several forms that you can fill out in advance and bring to your first visit.  Visit the Patient Forms page to download these forms.

Expecting a baby?

Congratulations! Having a baby is one of the most exciting times in your life. Nothing is more rewarding than the privilege of caring for a child and helping them thrive and develop. Choosing the pediatrician that can best care for your child is an important decision, and we look forward to working with you to keep your child healthy and happy. Dr. Sato and Dr. Kimura see newborns at Sutter Medical Center Sacramento (SMCS), so if your baby is delivered there, Dr. Sato or Dr. Kimura will come to see your baby the morning after he or she is born.  To avoid insurance problems, please call our office well before your baby is born so we can help you make sure your insurance coverage is in order.  When mom is admitted for delivery, be sure to let the hospital know that Dr. Sato or Dr. Kimura will be your pediatrician and the hospital will notify our office once your baby is born.  If you will be delivering at a hospital other than Sutter Medical Center Sacramento, please call our office. In most cases we will see newborns in our office about two days after discharge from the hospital, or beginning when insurance we accept is in effect. Please call or come by to visit our office if you have additional questions.
